When Brian Clough was sacked by Leeds in 1975 the only club who wanted him was a run down 2nd Division outfit called Nottingham Forest. Within four years the managerial legend had Forest promoted, then First Division champions and then, incredibly, in 1979, European Champions. 40 years on we will celebrate this ridiculous story over a sumptuous three course dinner in Mayfair with plenty of footage from the time and first-hand accounts from the former England and European Cup-winning Forest stars Tony Woodcock and Viv Anderson, with other teammates likely to be present.
Come and join us, become misty-eyed and re-live the story of how the team nobody believed in and the manager nobody wanted made sporting history. It is a story handed down through the generations, a story that has lasted the passing of time. Clough, Forest, Europe. It truly was a miracle.
